Trap and Throw System
Overview
Trap And Throw System was designed for a competition "Aquanetee" organised by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. With my teammates, I had designed the system, prepared a working model, represented it in competition and won third prize all over India (Certification of Excellence). Kudos to the team :) Sourabh Nahata, Khushboo Mandhaniya and Juhi Sharma.
Our main focus was to design an energy efficient water cleaning system which do not require any external energy to work. This design basically consist of four parts; Rotating shaft, Flow gates, collecting box, Chocking Remover and body. Based on a simple mechanism, this device seperates the solid waste from the waterbodies and allow clean water to flow through the perforated sieve and solid waste get deposit in collecting box through shaft. But the device was designed with precise measurements in such a way that the shaft will rotate with the flow of water and no external power is needed.
